Cody's Trail Town

(Kind of like the West was)

So the idea is kind of cool. They took all the old cabins and buildings from around the area and put them all up like a main street of a town around the 1890s or so. All the buildings are in tact, but you can only enter some of them.

This is the "Marquette Cabin." taken from the small village of Marquette, now under the waters of the Buffalo Bill Cody Dam.

The crowded streets of Trail Town... is that a ghost?

This this the only room of the school.

This is the store.

Take a (brief) walk back in time.

The largest building, which was a store, is now a museum of sorts... that's one small dug out.

The Moose and his friends on the wall - along with an entire forrest full of stuffed animals - are in here.

This is an RV of the day ... top speed... walking.

They are all beautifully restored.

Jeremiah Johnson - of the Robert Redford movie - was (re)buried here, but I forgot to take a picture of his marker.

This is a huge pile of bones. That's lots o good bbq!
