Jerome started as a mining town but became a ghost town after the mines ran out. Then, a Hippie town in the '60's. They pride themselves in how unique each doorway (and house) is, but many homes, some quite beautiful, have been long abandoned and are in ruin - wanna move there?

So they stopped deep mining in the '50's,

but they rediscovered strip mining on top of a mountain!
