Day Two: The Cathedral, Tlatelolco, and the Pryamids of Teotihuacan

Days: 1 2, 3, 4, 5

This is us on top of the Citidel Pyramid - in the background in the Temple of the Sun and farther back than that is the Temple of the Moon.

The site is so large - bigger than the Mall in DC - full of platfroms for worship or sales or whatever.

Joe on the top of the Temple of the Sun, an over 1000 foot climb. (He later threw up in the parking lot of the Temple of the Sun. )

This is the view from the top of the Temple of the Sun. Did I mention that geography matters? From all four sides you can see 'till next Tuesday!

Archeologists work on the Citidel.

Joe on altar in front of the citidel.

Joe getting blessed in the shadow of

the Giant Bronze Pope John Paul II.

The Icon of the Virgin high above.

We are on a moving sidewalk - snap your picture quick!

This shows the old cathedral -

leaning so badly it must be held up by faith.

Here's Kimberly in the Plaza - notice the Bronze Pope in the background!

The guide told us, Tlatelolco is the only true Aztec site in Mexico City - where hundreds of children had been sacrificed during a dought.

The bulding in the background is a church. This is a very cool site in the middle of the city traffic and noise etc.
